I'll always remember the moment my somatic therapist invited me to give my anxiety a voice. When I learned that my anxiety had a message for me, everything started to shift. That moment marked the beginning of an entirely different relationship with my body.

I became deeply drawn to somatic work because something finally clicked: when we slow down and listen, the body can reveal pathways toward healing and change that are often unavailable through thinking alone.

​

In my desire to deepen this understanding and share it with others, I trained in Relational Somatic Therapy and became a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. My practice is also informed by studies in Biology, herbal medicine, mindfulness meditation, ancestral healing, and Jikiden Reiki. Together, these influences support my intention to bridge the scientific and the intuitive.

Many of the people who find their way to this work are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, grief, trauma, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. Through a somatic and relational approach, we create space to gently explore what is asking to be seen, felt, and understood.

​

Again and again, I witness people develop a deeper trust in themselves and reconnect with their bodies, relationships, and inner wisdom as they learn to meet their experiences with greater kindness, patience, and compassion.

This has been true in my own life as well. Through this work, I have come to feel more connected to my body, my loved ones, and the wider natural world.

It is an honour to accompany clients as they reclaim the parts of themselves they've left behind. I offer in-person and online counselling sessions, as well as Reiki, from my office in Nelson.
